As an outdoor person who has to leave the city and go to the mountains every now and then. Looking back, I have been camping for more than 10 years. The most asked question in these years is how to choose camping equipment?
I summarized it and tried to choose simple and durable models, and don't buy too many Internet celebrity equipment. The details are as follows:
Tent:.Durable basic model, it is best to choose military ones. Once there was a heavy rainstorm, my tent was completely wet, and the tent of the little brother from the Blue Sky Rescue Team who was traveling with me didn't get a drop of rain (Figure 2). For low-cost and simple camping, don't choose the Internet celebrity big tent. When you pack and carry it, you will hate camping from then on, and then you can only eat dust at home.
Awning: Awning is a necessity for camping. It is essential to protect against rain and sun. It is best to choose a solid basic model, and don't follow the trend to choose Internet celebrity models. The reason is the same as above.
Moisture-proof mat: It is best to have two moisture-proof mats for one tent, one for the bottom and one for the tent. After all, camping is most afraid of moisture.
Air mattress: If you want to have a relatively comfortable camping experience, it is best to choose a better air mattress. Many people think camping is a painful outdoor activity because they can't sleep well for the first time.
Sleeping bag: If you are camping alone, a sleeping bag is the most suitable, but if it is a double tent, I suggest you bring a folding quilt that is easy to store. Our sleeping bags are basically gathering dust at home.
Outdoor folding chair: A must-have item. It is best to buy a portable one, the kind used by fishermen. Don't buy the Internet celebrity style, which is very difficult to store and carry.
Camping light: It is recommended to bring two types, one can be hung and the other is head-mounted.
Kitchenware and tableware: It is recommended to choose a complete set of kitchenware, like a Russian nesting doll, with five pots such as a kettle, a frying pan, and a soup pot; in addition, a knife, a soup spoon, etc., are all fine, and you don't need to be picky about it outdoors.
Charcoal fire/portable gas stove: I personally like to burn firewood, so I always find wood to make a fire outdoors, but sometimes it rains or there is no wood nearby, so I bought a portable gas stove (a few dollars in Figure 5) and a few gas tanks, which is very convenient. If you want to barbecue, remember to buy charcoal.
The commonly used equipment is the above types. The key is to choose portable ones. It is best not to buy the popular ones that are hard to store, difficult to carry, and easy to damage for taking pictures. The key is that if the first camping is too complicated and there are too many equipment, people will regret choosing camping as an activity, thinking that camping is hard and tedious, and will give up the idea of going again, then all the equipment bought at a high price will be wasted.
Finally, the most important equipment: a cat or a dog!!! Camping with animals can increase the fun 10 times!!!
Also, remember to bring enough mosquito repellent when camping in summer.
